About Our Team

Vertigo is a fourth-year team for the 2019-2020 FTC season. Vertigo is based in Highland Park, Illinois, and is a part of the District 113 Robotics organization as an HPHS Robotics team. Vertigo is comprised of both FTC veterans and new talent. It is a team of thirteen committed, talented, and driven individuals who strive for excellence both in and out of robotics. Vertigo began with two veteran students who were convinced that, by pairing their respective talents, they could form a strong group of individuals with unique skills that would work as a cohesive unit to achieve greatness. These thirteen members divided themselves into three subunits: six on hardware, five programmers, and two members to handle fundraising, outreach, and Public Relations. Together, these disparate individuals form a team that is greater than the sum of its parts—a team that is dedicated to building the best robot possible, engaging the community in STEM, and embracing the ideas of gracious professionalism.
